The Academy on Violence and Abuse: The Academy on Violence and Abuse (AVA) is an academic leader in addressing health professional education and research on the effects of violence and abuse on people's health. AVA is an interdisciplinary organization and a member in good standing of the Council of Academic Societies of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
